About Ellen Scharaga

Ellen Scharaga of Melville, NY, has more than 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical services sector. Completing her pharmacy and pharmacology degrees at St. John's University, she accepted a clinical operations manager role with Baxter Travenol Laboratories (now Baxter International). She oversaw a full range of home care services with a focus on intravenous infusion therapies. Ellen Scharaga subsequently served as ABEL Health Management Services, Inc.'s director of pharmacy. Overseeing New York district financial operations, she optimized inventory, product mix, and pricing and purchasing strategies in ways that increased gross profits. Ms. Scharaga also led relationship management and contract proposal development functions in ways that supported sales efforts. Ellen Scharaga currently lives in Melville, NY, and serves as operations senior vice president with Great Neck, New York-based OncoMed Pharmaceutical Services.
